Frequently asked questions

Natural Ingredients: Safe for your family and the environment.

Carbon Neutral: We care about our planet as much as you do.

Easy to Use: Simple, mess-free, and convenient.

Space Saving: Compact packaging fits easily in your laundry space.

Eco-Friendly Packaging: Recyclable packs and biodegradable sheets for a sustainable future.

The bundle contains everything you need to deep clean your entire air fryer — both halves of it.

You get the Roobi Air Fryer Drawer Cleaner: a box of 6 pre-portioned dissolvable powder sachets plus a cleaning brush, designed for the drawer, basket, and grill.

And the Roobi Air Fryer Fan & Coil Cleaner: a 10.14 fl oz (300 ml) foam-forming trigger spray plus a cleaning brush, designed for the heating element, fan, coil, and interior cavity.

That's 2 products + 2 brushes — one set for each zone of your air fryer. Both products are carbon neutral, 100% vegan, and BPA-free. One bundle. Two products. Two brushes. The whole appliance covered.

Drawer Cleaner (for the basket, drawer & grill): Drop one sachet into the drawer, fill with 1 liter of water, place the grill inside, and let it soak for 5 minutes. Then run your air fryer at high heat for 8 minutes — the appliance does the work. When the cycle ends, carefully remove the drawer, discard the water, and rinse thoroughly. Use the brush for any remaining residue. Total hands-on time: about 90 seconds.

Fan & Coil Spray (for the heating element, fan & coil): Tilt your air fryer to expose the heating element. Spray directly onto the element and fan until a thick foam forms, and let it dwell for 3 minutes. Use the included brush on any stubborn areas. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Then run your air fryer empty at the highest temperature for 7–8 minutes to evaporate any remaining residue before your next cook.

Your air fryer has two completely different cleaning environments. The drawer and basket are watertight — you can fill them with water, and that's exactly what the powder Drawer Cleaner is designed for. The heating element, fan, and coil can never have liquid applied directly — every major manufacturer (Ninja, Cosori, Philips, Breville) prohibits it. That's why we made the Fan & Coil Spray: a clinging foam that works on surfaces you can't soak. One product would mean compromising either safety or effectiveness. The bundle gives you the complete solution for the whole appliance.

Yes. Both products work through chemistry, not abrasion — and abrasion is what damages nonstick coatings over time. The Drawer Cleaner dissolves baked-on grease using water and heat, so you don't have to scrub. The Fan & Coil Spray is applied onto a cloth, never directly onto the element, and never contacts the coating at all. Replacing aggressive scrubbing with this routine actually protects your coating in the long run.

Yes. Both products are food-contact safe, vegan, and BPA-free. The Drawer Cleaner process ends with a hot cycle inside the air fryer followed by a full rinse. The Fan & Coil Spray protocol includes a final 7–8 minute empty heat cycle at high temperature to evaporate any remaining cleaner before your next cook.

The bundle was designed to work across all major brands. The Drawer Cleaner works in any submersible drawer or basket. The Fan & Coil Spray is compatible with standard heating elements and fans — the same surfaces whose manufacturers prohibit direct liquid contact, which is exactly why we engineered a clinging foam instead of a runny liquid.

Less than you'd expect. The Drawer Cleaner takes about 90 seconds of active work: drop in the sachet, fill with water, place the grill, and walk away for 13 minutes (5-minute soak + 8-minute heat cycle). The Fan & Coil Spray is a 3-minute foam dwell, a quick brush pass, and a wipe-down with a damp cloth. Both products are designed so the chemistry does the work — not your arms.

The most popular DIY method works partially on the drawer, but fails on hard-to-reach corners and gaps — and it can't go anywhere near the heating element safely. Baking soda is also mildly abrasive over time. The Drawer Cleaner was specifically formulated for the textured surface of crisper plates and the drawer gaps where no spray can pool. And the Fan & Coil Spray solves the zone that Dawn simply cannot touch — the part of your air fryer that holds the most odor, smoke, and residue.

The Drawer Cleaner is designed for a weekly or biweekly deep clean depending on how often you cook. Each box includes 6 sachets — roughly 6 weeks of use. The Fan & Coil Spray is used after heavy-grease or smoky cooks, and as a periodic deep clean of the hot zone. The cadence is driven by your cooking habits, not a strict schedule.

Because 47% of air fryer owners don't clean after every use — and polymerized grease buildup doesn't just cause odor on the next cook. It contributes to overheating (documented in the Cosori 2023 and Insignia 2024 voluntary recalls). Abrasive methods and the viral dishwasher-pod hack can damage the nonstick coating and release microparticles into your food. The Roobi bundle is the first complete, non-toxic, air-fryer-specific solution — two products built for the two zones that no generic method solves well.

Works

This cleaner works really well and makes cleaning the air fryer so much easier! The foam helps break down grease and buildup without a ton of scrubbing. I like that it comes with a brush because it helps get into smaller areas around the fan and heating element. My air fryer looked and smelled much cleaner after using it. Overall, a really useful cleaning product that helps keep appliances in good shape. It's expensive, but Roobi makes really good cleaning products. Definitely worth having on hand!

Balance of cleaning power and causticity

Works well with some effort. It's not on the level of commercial cleaners like Easy-Off, but at least it doesn't have a high level of causticity. Suitable for household cleaning as a once a month cleaner. I use it on my KitchenAid oven/airfryer, helps take off the stubborn grease stains on the roof of the oven, if you put in some elbow grease. Somewhat pricey considering the bottle size (10oz), and because it's in liquid sprayer form, you're using more product than a can sprayer like Easy-Off.

Surprising effective grease cleaner

I was honestly surprised by how well this air fryer cleaner worked. I use my air fryer 2-3 times a week and almost never clean the top underside area because it's so hard to reach. After following the instructions, I could literally see the grease starting to melt off within the first few minutes. The foam clings really well instead of dripping everywhere, and there's no harsh chemical smell at all. One tip: don't open the spray cover because that's what helps foam the liquid properly. After heating and wiping everything down, my air fryer was about 90% clean. The only spots left were areas I physically couldn't reach. It was way more effective than I expected. The biggest part I wasn't a fan of was the price. I think it's too pricy for this type of product.

Terrific Product to Clean Air Fryer - Recommended

I am very happy with this Roobi air fryer fan and coil cleaner spray, and am pleased to give it 5 stars. The product is effective at removing grease and other oils accumulating on the heating coils and fan. I like that product is human safe as well as coating safe, and does not leave any sort of chemical residue since it's 100% vegan. Use of the product is super easy - all you have to do is spray the item onto the coils and let the foam sit there for 3 minutes. When time is up, use the included brush and wipe off with a paper towel and the residue comes off. I like that the product doesn't smell like chemical cleaner with nasty fumes or aerosols. The included brush is very useful and is great for cleaning any model air fryer. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and I'm pleased to recommend it to others.

Worked ok for my basket. Didn't do much for my grate/grill

More of a 3.5+, but rounding up for being non-toxic & eco-friendly. The air fryer I used this on had been sitting around for over a year unused and I was getting ready to dump/donate it because it's just a PITA to really clean. Basket had some buildup. Grate was clean-ish but had stubborn buildup in the nooks and crannies. Basically a worst case scenario with dried up polymerized oil gunk. Effectiveness: First run softened up the basket oil gunk and made it easier to wipe up. Didn't do much for the grate, even when using the brush. Decided to try a second run shortly after, even letting it soak for a few minutes after heating, and giving a go with the brush while still in solution. Basket was even cleaner. Grate was about the same. Underside of grate (all grooves) wasn't affected at all, even after flipping on the second run. Since it does seem to moderately work on the basket, I think these would do well when used regularly for upkeep. Deep neglected heavy cleaning seems to be too much. Main ingredient listed is sodium percarbonate, an oxidizing agent used in home cleaners like OxyClean and Tide. Comes with usual warnings to avoid contact with skin, eyes, and inhalation. No harsh smell, but a good idea to use gloves. Foams up a bit during heating. When dumping the dirty water, you should have the faucet on too to dilute things so your pipes are less likely to be affected.

Works well, love that it's non-toxic and food safe

I love Roobi's Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker cleaner because it works well, and their products are non-toxic and food-safe. This powder-based foaming cleaner for air fryer baskets did not disappoint. I have a Ninja combo air fryer/toaster oven, so I had to get a little creative with this cleaner. I set my air fryer basket in the tray, added water and then the packet. Actually, I added two packets, which was my mistake... you'll only need one. When I put it in the oven to heat, my mistake caused the foam to overflow into the base of the oven. After wiping everything up and rinsing off the basket and tray, they look a million times better, as does the bottom of the oven. The bonus is that it also doesn't smell bad during use. At a little under $4 per treatment, this could get expensive if you used it every week as suggested, but for folks like me who barely remember to clean their air fryers once a month, this is reasonably priced.

Finally! A non-toxic miracle for caked-on grease—no asthma triggers or scratches!

If you are like me, you try to clean your air fryer right after using it while the grease is still pliable, but sometimes hunger wins, you eat first, and by the time you're ready to clean, the grease is completely cold and caked on. I have tried so many ways to clean my Ninja Air Fryer: harsh chemical oven cleaners, abrasive scrubbers, and various non-toxic hacks, but nothing worked easily. This Roobi cleaner completely blew me away. Following the instructions was incredibly easy. The powder worked beautifully to completely break down and loosen up the stubborn, baked-on grime. The included cleaning brush features wonderfully stiff bristles that brushed away the loosened grease effortlessly. Best of all, it did the job cleanly without creating a single scratch on the basket's interior or ruining its delicate non-stick top coat. As I work toward transitioning into a more non-toxic home, finding an organic cleaner that actually works is a massive win. It has absolutely no harsh or strong chemical smells. As someone with asthma, I was thrilled to find that it didn't bother or trigger my breathing at all while soaking or scrubbing. The pre-measured sachet design is incredibly smart and mess-free. You don't have to deal with scoopers or guessing measurements. Having 6 sachets in the box is fantastic because I know I have a reliable, multi-month supply on hand to get my air fryer back to looking brand new whenever I get a bit lazy with cleaning. If you want to save your elbows, protect your air fryer's coating, and deep clean your appliances without breathing in toxic fumes, this product is an absolute must-have. 10/10!

Good but doesn't clean everything

This does work, but it is not perfect. I followed the directions exactly on a very dirty and greasy air fryer, and it cleaned the very bottom of the fryer bin really well. The problem is that it only really cleaned the bottom. The sides and top were not touched, so I still had to deal with those separately. It sort of helped with the grill piece, but not as much as I hoped. So I do think it works for what it reaches, and the bottom of the bin looked much better. I just would not expect it to clean the entire air fryer drawer or replace regular scrubbing completely.

Works well on the food containers. Doesn't do much to Ninja Crispi air fryer's heating unit.

I've been struggling with built-up grease and grime on my Ninja Crispi air fryer, especially the heating unit on the lid. The main top can't be submerged in water, and most of the other parts (except the heating element) are removable, but the heating coils and surrounding area get nasty over time. I didn't want to use vinegar like the Ninja manual suggests because I hate the lingering smell throughout the house. Roobi Air Fryer Cleaner is easy to use with clear instructions. It is also marketed as non-toxic, carbon neutral, and gentle on appliances. My Ninja glass container came out very clean. Any residue loosened up beautifully. Since the glass container is dishwasher safe anyway, this was a nice bonus. It's easy to use with no scrubbing required for the bowl and there's no strong chemical odor. My primary goal was to deep clean the heating unit on the lid, which isn't dishwasher safe and is the hardest part to maintain. Unfortunately, Roobi didn't deliver dramatic results there. While some of the cleaner splash marks did reach the cover of the heating unit and allowed me to wipe away a decent amount of loose grime with a cloth, the stubborn, baked-on residue didn't dissolve as effectively as I'd hoped. If your main concern is cleaning the food container, I'd highly recommend it. For heavy duty cleaning of the heating element on Ninja's air fryer, it helps but may need a follow up with manual wiping or a second treatment. I believe it would work well with other air fryer brands though, but it's not a complete miracle worker on the most difficult areas of the Ninja Crispi air fryer.

Works well for the basket, but not a complete deep clean

I decided to try this cleaner because my air fryer was starting to get that baked-on grease buildup that regular dish soap just wasn't getting rid of anymore. The process itself is really simple. You just mix the powder with water in the drawer and let the air fryer run for a few minutes. I liked that there wasn't a strong chemical smell while using it. What impressed me the most was how well it cleaned the bottom base area of the air fryer drawer. There was a lot of old grease and residue down there that loosened up really well after one cycle. It definitely made that part look much cleaner without having to scrub hard. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it didn't completely cut through all the grease on the metal pan/crisper plate itself. I still had to do some extra scrubbing afterward to fully clean it. It also doesn't really reach the upper side walls inside the air fryer, so grease stuck higher up stayed there unless I manually wiped it down. Overall, I still think it works well for routine maintenance and deeper cleaning of the lower parts of the air fryer. Just don't expect it to fully clean every surface without a little extra work.

Honest Opinions
Did all the hard work for me

I received this air fryer cleaner from Roobi through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review. Like a lot of people, my air fryer basket has definitely seen better days, so I was really interested to see how well this would work. Normally I soak my basket in hot water with soap and vinegar for quite a while before scrubbing it down. One of these packets managed to do more in under 15 minutes than my usual cleaning routine, which honestly impressed me. It didn't get every single bit of buildup off, but it made a huge dent in the grease and grime with way less effort and scrubbing. I honestly feel like after a few more uses, I could probably get my basket looking close to new again. I also really appreciated that it didn't leave behind a strong chemical smell. Sometimes after using dish soap or vinegar, I can still smell it in the air fryer afterward, but that wasn't an issue here at all. It also comes with a little scrub brush, which is actually pretty sturdy and useful for anything left behind after soaking. Overall, this made cleaning my air fryer way faster and easier, and that alone makes it worth it to me. Great value for the money, and I'll definitely keep using this going forward.

Easy Air Fryer Cleaning Without Heavy Scrubbing

This cleaning kit includes 6 powder sachets and a bonus cleaning brush designed for air fryer maintenance. I like the convenient system because the powder dissolves in water and does much of the cleaning work without harsh scrubbing. The unscented, plant-based formula is food-contact safe and gentle on non-stick coatings, which makes it feel safer for regular use. Great value for anyone who uses an air fryer frequently and wants a simple way to keep baskets and drawer clean. And they work well for very dirty air fryer drawer I would repeat the process.

Easy Way to Clean Air Fryer Baskets Without Harsh Scrubbing

This air fryer cleaner did a good job loosening grease and baked-on residue inside the basket and drawer. The powder sachets are simple to use, and I liked that it's food-contact safe and doesn't have an overpowering chemical smell. What I liked: Helped break down grease with minimal scrubbing. Included brush is handy for corners and heating element areas. Worked well on air fryer baskets and trays. Easy single-use packets make cleanup simple. Didn't seem to damage or dull the nonstick coating. Compatible with different air fryer brands. After soaking, most residue wiped away much easier than with regular dish soap alone. Things to know: Really heavy carbon buildup may still need a second treatment. Best results come from using hot water and letting it soak awhile. Only includes 6 packets, so heavy users may go through it quickly. Bottom line: A convenient cleaner that makes air fryer maintenance easier and less messy. Good option for keeping baskets and drawers cleaner without aggressive scrubbing.

Cuts Grease Well, So-So With Baked On Food

Roobi's air fryer cleaning product is easy to use and is actually pretty powerful at cutting through grease and oil buildup. It's a small packet of white powder that reminds me of dishwasher powder, which you sprinkle into your air fryer's basket along with some water to let soak for 5 minutes. After the soak you simply turn the air fryer up to his hottest setting and let it run for 8 minute, and that's it! While it does a good job with grease and oil, it's not the greatest at removing old baked on food particle although the included brush helps quite a bit in that regard. It couldn't quite get my 5-year old Philips air fryer back to spotless condition, it certainly got it as clean as it's been in years!

Effective Product - Recommended

I'm very happy with the Robbi air fryer cleaner and I'm pleased to give this item 5 stars - here's why: The product is highly effective in removing grease and build up that may form in your air fryer basket. Using the product is easy with the clearly labeled directions. Simply dissolve a packet in water, let it sit and then warm up the water in the air fryer - it's that simple. I like that the product is food safe with a plant based formula. Can be used with all air dryers. Overall, this is a great product and thrilled to recommend it to others.

Suitable for occasionally cleaning just the bottom of a very, very dirty air fryer

This is a box containing 6 packets of a powdered detergent mix. The powder is poured into an air fryer basket along with 1 liter of hot tap water and allowed to dissolve for 5 minutes, and then the water/powder mixture is heated in the basket at the air fryer's top temperature for 8 minutes. One liter of water was not quite enough to cover the bottom of my fryer basket so I added a bit more. I monitored the fryer during the heating cycle, and the water came to a boil but there was never any danger of the water boiling over or spilling. After the 8 minutes were over I took out the fryer basket and the water was very sudsy. I dumped out the water and let the basket cool, and scraped out some residue with a small stiff-bristled brush (included). The bottom of the fryer, where the soapy water was circulating, came out very clean. Unfortunately this product only cleans the bottom of the fryer basket, it doesn't do anything to clean grease spatters or any other debris at the sides. Also, there are only 6 packets of cleaner in each box, implying these packets need to be used only once in a while; I clean my air fryer regularly so I would go through an entire box of this cleaning powder in less than 2 weeks. This also means that I would never let my fryer get so dirty that this cleaning powder would be necessary. So even though this product is ok at what it does, it's not very useful for me.
